A Stream Of Silver

A stream runs
Not deep but long
Towards far, far away.
Passing through, passing across
Never to stop or stay.

A stream so clear
Glistening and pure
Revealing its path under.
Gliding over both big and small
T'is a tiny crystal wonder.

And flown, it has
For all this time
Through the dark and light.
And seen, it has, many a moons
Glowing in the starry night.

Not one knows
Of its origin
Nor anything of its end.
For it is a stream of tears of
A soul unable to mend.

Moments

Passes each moment
From the Sun to the Moon
A thousand clouds soar past
Shifting shapes over shifting sand dunes.

Passes each moment
Into a Void, never to return.
'Tis ours, a memory to keep
Of a blessing or a curse.

Passes each moment
Places, people and things.
Some lost,
Some held and
Some found.

Through the Black Hole and Back

The curtain is raised
Time for show
All is glossed and shone
Life begins, drama unfolds.

Is it so uncertain?
Is there a new dawn or shall fall the curtain?
Is every day a miracle?
Don't you know, life is a Karmic Circle?
What is left to Destiny?
When actions have caused suicidal tyranny?

A show of class and perfection
Yet lies a gaping hole
Apparently so evanescent
A black hole back to square one.

Is it so uncertain?
Is there a new dawn or shall fall the curtain?
Is every day a miracle?
Don't you know, life is a Karmic Circle?
What is left to Destiny?
When actions have caused suicidal tyranny?

Tainted within, bright outside
Mistakes overlooked, Left to
Crumble and wither
Or a gracious bow at Curtain Fall.

Lost In Nowhere

The Ballad Of  Semerwater has always been an  all  time  favourite poem of mine. And so, here is what I've written  inspired by this classic.

Deep  asleep, Deep  asleep
Deep  asleep it lies
A lost light of a golden sight
Dead and cold as ice.
And many a fathom, Many a fathom
Many a fathom below
Within  a soul,  unlike  a ghoul
It yearns again to glow.
For once upon
This light lived
Lived through joy and sorrow
With  hope at heart, no one to part
In fear of today nor tomorrow.
And yet there came a day so sad
Of a folly to caste its despair.
And  so,
The shining  light and the golden sight
Were destroyed beyond repair.
The shining light of the golden sight
lie deep asleep in Nowhere.

Opium

I stand tall on a mountain top
Green is all I see.
There stands a castle dark
Atop a second hill.
With warmth of a young heart
On I walk ahead.

Each step I take fills
Me up with escalating joy
For I see the Blue Lotus
Or is it the Grim's buoy?
Crave as I do for
My prize I reach the Gates.
As its bolts thunder
My gaze widens for what awaits.

Once on the other side I am
I don't believe all I see.
There lies every treasure one
Can ever need.
The smells, colour and sounds
Are all above I know.

And so I lay upon
Grass so soft as snow
In my silver hazy dream
Of golden rivers that flow.
At an hour dark I seek
What I yearn the most
Coming across my love
Mortified into a ghost.

Rooted to the ground I watch him
Wither away to dust
Screams, tears, sorrow and pain I
Wish I could feel.
But I am benumbed by such Opium
In my fields forevermore.
